It is with great pride that the Claire’s Day committee held the 2nd Annual Author Selection Gala. This special reception encouraged schools to “vote” for their favorite authors and illustrators. The fun voting and “election” occurred on Monday, December 5, 2011 at Main Library.
Each school represented at the gala will cast one vote to select the author or illustrator for a school visit on Thursday May 17 or Friday, May 18, 2012 (depending on author availability). During the evening of the reception, Claire’s Day committee members randomly drew school entries, and the schools selected their author or illustrator.
